Interesting Polar Bear Facts

The Kyoto Protocol Video Video

Polar bears are actually ever more becoming threatened due to many issues featuring industry activities, ice in their natural environment melting, as well as human interaction. By far the biggest culprit is actually the adjustment in the natural world of the polar bear. Various life-threatening situations are produced for these cold climate bears when the ice melts. Global warming that is tied to industrialization and projects such as driving a car, burning coal, and more human projects generates the ice melting.

The Bear Essential
Polar bears are actually a big varieties that make their homes on the frozen Arctic sea. The bears will certainly waste the majority of their lives on the ice. Males can easily grow up to ten feet in length as well as weigh in at over 500 kilograms! The bears are carnivores, indicating they consume the meat of additional Arctic animals. At current there are predicted to be just 20 to 50 thousands Arctic polar bears left in the wild. They are on the Endangered Animal Listing.

When polar bears are on land they are more most likely to come face-to-face by having a predator, people. Often individuals hunt polar bears as prizes and more folks eradicate polar bears while defending themselves. Folks more impact polar bears when companies build facilities in their natural atmosphere, thereby altering it irrevocably.

That Is Helping, as well as Just how
Principal contributors to the match to conserve the Arctic Polar Bear consist of the Coca-Cola Business and the World Wildlife Fund. Collectively these organizations are raising money to analysis what is actually generating global temperature change as well as functioning with governmental companies to manage greenhouse gasoline discharges. Other principal projects consist of energies to avoid unfavorable human interactions featuring poaching as well as remarkable tourism and defending critical environment locations such as birthing dens.

You can get included in the mission to save the Arctic Polar Bears by working immediately by having the Globe Fauna Fund. Start the rewarding quest today by paying a visit to Polar Bears at World Wild Life.

What’s the most effective way of preventing Polar bears to extinction? Polar Bears have been my most favorite animal since i was a kid. and it breaks my heart that they are becoming more and more endangered. Their a Beautiful animal. Whats the most effective way of saving them i can do at home?

  2. First the STOP Global Warming.

  3. They will cease to be endangered if you take the red pill.

  4. Dead! says:

    Don’t eat them.

  5. simple….just stop global warming! One thing people dont notice will help: Dont use air conditioners and make sure you shut your computer off instead of sleep mode! Hope this helps!

  6. Swash says:

theres no aving them people think they can save the world but they cant it all ends most likely in the next generation

  7. MLR says:

Maybe they are supposed to be extinct already

  8. Idoni says:

They’re all surviving pretty well, actually. Why just baby penguins and not ALL penguins, anyway? Don’t worry about it, they’re fine.

  9. Baby penguins aren’t close to being extinct – 400 of them got pulled away by strong ocean current. Some others are freezing to death — freezing, got that? Not melting, not separated from mommy penguin because their ice berg split up, freezing to death. Freezing. Not warming. There are more polar bears – about five times as many – as was the case in the 1950s. Sea lions? What about the sea lions. This is what I mean – some of these animals have had issues but there’s no link between those issues and global warming. You might as well throw in the bees too – there’s no evidence that that has ANYTHING to do with global warming but some people are insisting that it must be the result of global warming.

If we stop global warming we would all die. The Greenhouse effect keeps the planet warm enough to support life. It has been much warmer at numerous times in the past, and Polar bears survived the last time there was no ice cap on Greenland, otherwise they would not exist today. Most of the suggestions made by the Mac still make sense, because it is stupid to waste precious resources on a limited planet. Polar Bears are vicious, nasty predators who eat seals and Inuits (Eskimos), so I wouldn’t lose too much sleep if they did become extinct, but it isn’t going to happen any time soon. Their numbers have doubled since 1975, and we will soon have to start shooting the damned things to keep their numbers down. They are dangerous, and compete with us. Stupid to allow them to survive where they can endanger people, even greenies don’t deserve to be ripped apart by one of these man-killing monsters! Unless they want to be, I guess…

global warming is a result of natural proccesses and has very little to do with what us humans are doing. the earth warms a cools in a cycle that lasts around 40000 years its realy nothing to be worried about

  14. what we need is a really big airconditoner or fan to cool down the heat. Or maybe a big shade like an umbrella to cover antartica would do the trick.

  15. USER1 says:

Those poor polar bears aye. We should all chip in and buy you a passage to Antarctica so you could pet some of em and give em all hugs.

  16. I have got a project on ‘vanishing sea ice’………? Polar bears could face extinction, whales go hungry, seals have nowhere to rest-due to arctic warming. Pls help i had tried to find but not getting the proper info. i want the name of the site.

  17. Anand V says:

Type GREENPEACE in http://www.google.com and navigate after getting to the greenpeace site.

  18. sissy says:

maybe you can go to a weather site and find out. or go the discovery channel site and look it up. i know the weather channel always talks about the global warnings..good luck…

  19. crazydave says:

No they won’t be extinct. They will find a way to adapt to climate change. Maybe they’ll migrate to the South Pole, then they’ll be known as Bi-Polar Bears!

  21. Erin says:

Polar bears need ice to hunt for food, polar bears can drown in water easily is what some scientists say.

  22. The truth isn’t a simple as some would have you believe. Due to hunting practices, the polar bear population was declining rapidly until a number of countries placed regulation on these practices. Because of these regulations, the polar bear population began to rebound. Some people argue that we shouldn’t worry about polar bears because their population is increasing – this has nothing whatsoever to do with climate change. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_bear#Contemporary_regulations The reality is that polar bears need sea ice to hunt seals. Obviously if they can’t hunt, they starve. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_bear#Global_warming In fact the effects of poor nutrition have been observed in several polar bear populations. http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.2193/2006-180 This is because of the rapid decline in Arctic sea ice: http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/images/n_plot.png So while the polar bear populations are currently in decent shape, they’re listed as threatened because the sea ice they need to hunt is declining rapidly, and we’re starting to see the effects in some polar bear populations already.

  23. There are more polar bears now than there were 50 years ago. About 4-5 times more. Talk about a lie within a lie – sheesh!

  24. Ottawa Mike says:

Google “mitchell taylor” and “polar bears” and IPCC and see what you come up with.

  25. minnie says:

I am Christian and I believe we are supposed to be good stewards of the Earth and it’s animals. We were put in charge over them. It is a directive from God himself to do so. To do nothing less, is a sin. So, don’t lump me in with the rest. I am not of that mindset. Just my humble opinion.

  26. ItsMe says:

…it would be a sad place without animals and the world wouldn’t last long, we need them

  27. masterdk888p says:

First of all I have a question for you”””what do you mean racial or reliigious sub groups??? To answer the first question those so-called religious groups are not relious at all the same God created us created the animals too, as you know this already. Now when you say just to produce more babies is it possible you can explain that statement more clearly, I might have an ideal of what you trying to say but I rather here it from you.

  28. yme says:

The world is very big. Could take a long long time to overpop the planet and kill all the animals. Most likely an asteroid will kill us all first. I have two kids and go to church on Sunday. Am I radical or in a religious sub-group? You just feel guilty. I ate some endangered Alabama chicken tonight and loved it.
