It is considered to be one of typical aviation construction’s “Big Three.” From its founding through the end of 2009, Piper has actually produced over one hundred forty thousand airplane, of which ninety thousand are still in active flying service. The business’s possibly finest known as the producer of the J-3 Cub. At first expected for flight training, the Cub became one of the finest recognized and most preferred light airplane ever constructed. William Piper chose an budget friendly plane that would encourage an passion in aviation. As a outcome, it’s frequently been compared to the Model T. The L-4 edition was utilized extensively by the U.S. military throughout Globe War II and Korea. Today, recreational aviators and bush pilots continue to require modernized and up-graded editions of the Cub.

Beyond the J3, today’s Piper line up consists of the Warrior. The Piper Warrior is a single-engine, piston driven plane taken into account a “low-wing” airplane that makes a wonderful aircraft for sale. The Warrior is part of the Piper PA-28 series of plane. Look under the cowling on the Warrior to discover Lycoming 150 hp O-320-E3D engines. There are four seats in thew Warrior by having rear memory space and cargo locations.

What is a Two seat, low wing airplane(none Aerobatic) that is certified for Spins, Other than piper tomahawk? Some thing that is not high performance or complex.

  2. Believe it or not, the Art Scholl school of aerobatics used the “Traumahawk” as a primary trainer for spins in the 1980′s and early 90′s because it was very good at doing them, whereas a C-150 takes some work. However, with only 2 AN-7 bolts (about the thickness of a pencil) holding the horizontal stab to the vertical stab on the Tomahawk, I was never comfortable with doing stalls and spins in them. Anyway, to answer your question, there’s the Beechcraft 77 Skipper (a Tomahawk look-alike that is more docile in a stall or spin) and the Varga Kachina (two seat tandem) which is excellent for spin training and recovers easily, but it is relatively rare. There are also the Grob G115C, Zlin 242, Avions Robin, Cap 10, and the Extra 200 / 300. The most common certificated high wing airplanes that are suitable for spin training include the Cessna 150 / 152, Bellanca Citabria & Decathlon, Great Lakes, Stearman, Beech T-34, Pitts S-2 series,.

Beech BE-77 Skipper. It takes a little more work to get it to spin than the Tomahawk or the 150/152 series and even in the spin is fairly docile and comes out quickly. Don’t know what it is abut the T-Hawk, but if I am going to spin that one I really want to double check my CG and make sure it is nowhere near the aft limit. Better yet, I like it to be a bit forward. On the other hand I find I need to get the CG towards the aft if you expect to get a decent spin from a Cessna 150/152/172.

I know that I would love to co-pilot a plane. I think you should do that, your girlfriend would probably enjoy it. It sounds like fun!

  6. Marie Will says:

If I was your girlfriend I would lllooovvveee that, its so romantic.

  7. yes do it! she will be soo surprised and soooo happy!!!! I would love that so much if I were her! shell love it and it will be a fantastic memory. she’s lucky(:

  8. Yeah, i think that’s a great idea, but only then if you’re together for some time now. I would feel a bit awkward if that was our first date kind of thing.

it’s a tandem 2 seater great little airplane if you get the fly the cub the only thing I dislike is that you have to fly solo from the rear seat.

The Piper Cub has two seats in tandem (one behind the other). The aircraft is a sweet plane to fly, but they’re not known for their speed. But slow and easy is great fun and centerline seating is my favorite. Great view out both sides. I prefer a tail dragger, but like more horsepower and acrobatic capabilities. Doesn’t this look like fun? http://www.vintageflying.com/Quickstart/ImageLib/PICT0184_(Small).JPG

Nice aircraft. Very simple controls, handles great, but like Comair said, I don’t like taildraggers that much. But it’s a great aircraft to fly just for fun or on short trips. My friend let me fly his once up to Vancouver when I lived in Seattle. It fits you and one passenger. One seat is in front of the other, unlike most other light aircraft

need basic help with friends RC Airplane? My friend for his 14th birthday got a radio controlled airplane. More specificlly a piper Cub J3 that is electric. He has never been interested in flying but since his uncle got the airplane for him he has felt bad about not using it so he decided to give it a try. We put it together but there is one problem. He can’t figure out how to get it to even take off from the ground. There are instructions on how to make it take off from the ground in the box but he is confused by them and I have not a clue about rc airplanes. I have watched people before but have never tried myself. All I know is that the airplane is three channel and is electriclly run. Could someone clarify intructions for how to get this airplane to take off from ground?

  13. With a three channel radio you have basic directional control. They are the ailerons, elevator and rudder. The elevator is located on the horizontal tail surface and it’s function is to raise and lower the nose. The rudder is located on the vertical tail surface and it’s function is to turn the nose left and right. The ailerons are located on the trailing surface of the wing and it’s function is to raise and lower the wing. Ailerons are used in conjunction with the rudder to turn the airplane. To takeoff or climb, accelerate the airplane along the runway, when sufficient speed is reached apply aft pressure on the elevator, causing the nose to rise and the airplane to climb. I hope this helps.

How to find distance? Physics? A Piper-Cub airplane touches down at a speed of 40 m/s and coasts 200 m down the runway before coming to rest. a) What was the average velocity of the plane while it was coasting? b) For what amount of time was it coasting? c) Find the acceleration rate for the plane. I need the equations to solve these problems, please. Then I can do it on my own. (:

  15. Rackbrane says:

    If: u = initial speed v = final speed u[a] = average speed s = distance t = time a = acceleration, then: u = 40 m/s, v = 0, s = 200 m. The equations required are: (a) u[a] = (u + v) / 2. (b) s = t * u[a] t = s / u[a]. (c) v^2 = u^2 + 2as a = (v^2 – u^2) / (2s).

The one I like the most would have to be Pink Floyd’s debut because I think it’s cursed or something xD, at first I thought it was very dark and depressing. Now I think it’s the happiest album ever! My least favorite album out of these would have to be The Who Sell Out (I don’t hate it, I just don’t think it’s that amazing lol.) My Generation is still their best album. The one I think is most overrated would have to be Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Do I need to explain myself here? :S…
